The Walter O. Boswell Memorial Hospital, a 365-bed facility, is located in Sun City. The Del Webb Memorial Hospital, a 203-bed facility, is located in Sun City West. Both hospitals feature some of the latest state-of-the-art equipment. Within these two communities there are also many medical clinics, private practices, and nursing and rehabilitation centers. The Mayo Clinic of Arizona is approximately 40 miles east of Sun City in Scottsdale and the Mayo Arrowhead Primary Care Center in Glendale is approximately five miles northeast of Sun City. Central Phoenix also has a V.A. hospital and there is a V.A. clinic nearby to Sun City.

There are also many medical and dental facilities available to the Sun Cities residents without leaving the community.
